North American Poker Tour announces LA stop

The 4th stop of the PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour’s first season has finally been announced, and it will take place in the City of Angels. The tournament will be held at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, California from November 8th through the 21st, with a total of 14 poker tournaments taking place culminating with the $5,000 buy-in Championship Event.

There is no word yet on the inclusion of a High-Roller event, but a quick look at the schedule shows a very interesting wrinkle: On Day 4 of the championship tournament another large buy-in event will begin; a $5,000 HORSE tournament. It will be interesting to see if the players that bust from the NLHE Championship will stick around a day or two to partake in the HORSE tourney. The two big tournaments aside, pretty much every poker player’s bankroll will be represented at the NAPT Los Angeles stop, with buy-ins for the tournament series range from $335 up to the two $5,000 tournaments.

So far the NAPT is off to a rousing success. With the unofficial first stop taking place at the PokerStars.net PCA, one of the biggest and most prestigious poker events in the world, the NAPT was placed on the fast-track for success. The official first-stop of the NAPT was held at the Venetian in Las Vegas, followed by a historic stop at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut –the Casino’s first major poker tournament after re-opening their poker room.
