2010 World Series of Poker Europe kicks-off in London

London has played host to the poker world since the end of the 2010 World Series of Poker, with a World Poker Tour stop as well as a number of other major tournaments taking place throughout the city. Now it is time for the 4th annual World Series of Poker Europe tournament series to begin –which will be followed by the European Poker Tour’s London stop!

This time around the World Series of Poker Europe schedule will feature five tournaments, taking place from September 14th – 28th, at the Empire Casino in London. The tournament schedule for the WSOPE features two £10,000 buy-in tournaments; one being the Main Event Championship, the other a Heads-Up No Limit Holdem High-Roller event.

Here is a look at the complete schedule for the WSOPE:

·    Event #1: £2,500 Six Handed No Limit Holdem
·    Event #2: £5,000 Pot Limit Omaha
·    Event #3: £1,000 No Limit Holdem
·    Event #4: £10,000 No Limit Holdem High Roller Heads-Up
·    Event #5: £10,000 WSOPE Championship No Limit Holdem

Previous winners of the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event Champions include then 18 year-old Annette Obrestad in 2007, poker superstar John Juanda in 2008 and CardPlayer magazine CEO Barry Shulman in 2009.
